List of Cat Breeds

Lynx point is a Siamese point coloration in which the coat features distinct stripes, mostly around the legs, eyes, cheeks and tails. Along with the Siamese, the coloration can occur among all breeds with Siamese points, such as; Balinese, Himalayan, Ragdoll, etc.

History[]

Lynx point cats first appeared in the 1940s, as a result of an accidental breeding of a seal point Siamese and an American shorthair. Initially, there was not much interest in them, however, by the 1960s they began to gain popularity.
