Socialization is the process of a cat accustoming to interaction with humans. It is typically and most effectively done when the cat is a kitten, especially between its first two to seven weeks of life[1]. If not already done, the chances of a cat ever becoming socially receptive to humans decreases with age[1] and with time spent living outdoors[2].
